Eaton Expands Aftermarket Footprint with Two New Authorized Rebuilder
Appointments

GALESBURG, MI … Power management company Eaton has expanded its North American Authorized Rebuilder Program with the addition of Chalk’s Truck Parts, Houston, TX; and DEX Heavy Duty Parts, Advance, NC. The announcement was made at the 2018 Heavy Duty Aftermarket Week trade show in Las Vegas. Chalk’s opened for business in 1957 and currently employs 60 people. DEX has 51 employees and has been in business since 2007. The two companies become the fifth and sixth rebuilders to join the program. The Eaton Authorized Rebuilder Program, introduced in 2013, gives fleets and owner operators an opportunity to purchase locally rebuilt transmissions with 100 percent Eaton components that meet all of Eaton’s re-use and rebuild requirements. The program provides customers with a higher level of confidence and after-the-sale support than other rebuilders can provide.

“With Chalk’s and DEX we now have Authorized Rebuilder coverage in two more geographic areas of the country that are strategically important to us,” said Bill Fouch, manager, aftermarket marketing, Eaton. “We are confident that our Authorized Rebuilder Program will help to further enhance their already outstanding reputations.”

“We are all excited with our new partnership with Eaton and the opportunities this recognition will bring us,” said Moses Moreno, general manager for Chalk’s. “We’re looking forward to the benefits the Eaton program will bring to us with our mutual customers being the ultimate benefactors.”

“We see this opportunity as an excellent way to grow our transmission business,” said Darin Redmon, director of operations for DEX. “Eaton products and solutions are well regarded in the commercial trucking industry and we definitely want to take advantage of that.”

Additional Eaton Authorized Rebuilders are Power Train, Indianapolis, IN; TransAxle, Cinnaminson, NJ; Drivetrain Services, Bensonville, IL; and Pacific Truck, Edmonton, Alberta. To be recognized as an Authorized Rebuilder, companies are required to complete Eaton’s technical and sales training, meet Eaton’s re-use and rebuild criteria, and they must use 100 percent genuine Eaton content for all of the transmissions rebuilt as part of the program. Eaton provides the program participants with enhanced warranty coverage and marketing support, including signage and tags for the rebuilt units, promotional materials, and advertising support.
